Free At Last is a program dedicated to the promotion of free improvisation and creative music. Created in 2024, it has already produced 31 editions in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, featuring 52 artists from Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, France, Italy, Lithuania, and Russia. Each edition brings musicians together in first-time configurations, with no pre-set repertoire, and several editions have included labs open to the public.
Editions #9, #10, #11, and #12 took place within the framework of ICR #26, co-produced by the Assoc. Cult. Springtime Jazz Festival (IT), with the support of the Lithuanian Council for Culture (LT). The first edition featured Lorenzo Colocci (IT/DK), with support from KODA (DK) and JazzDanmark (DK).
