ICR-International Creative Residences is a program of creative residencies, aiming to prompt communication between musicians from different realities across and outside Europe, and to produce performances and discographic material.
ICR is the result of many years of collaborations, meetings, events, co-productions, concerts, workshops, etc. organized in many European and South American cities by the artistic research platform Mediterraneo Radicale. ICR aims to build a solid partnership among improvisers’ groups which are active in different nations and scenes. The goal is to connect the different realities and create opportunities for exchanging and co-creating between artists, entities and the public. In each edition a project proposed by one or more artists representative of a particular scene is shared with the others, executed by artists with different backgrounds, ultimately increasing both the individual and collective artistic competences and resources. ICR aims at spreading these works in different contexts and to different audiences.
